VillexBuild is a homeowner protection and contractor trust platform. This policy describes what information we collect, how it is used, how it is linked to your identity, how it is shared, and how you can request deletion.

By creating an account or using VillexBuild, you agree to the practices described here and in our Terms of Service.

We collect your name, email address, and account role (homeowner, contractor/helper, or admin) when you register. This information is linked to your account identity and is used to authenticate you, display your profile, and attribute your activity within the app.

Depending on your role and the features you use, you may provide phone numbers, backup contact names, and manager contact details. This information is linked to your account and is used to support verification, urgent work coordination, and owner verification lock features.

Homeowners and property managers may enter property addresses, project details, scope of work, and related notes. Contractors may receive assigned work details. This information is linked to your account and is used to provide the core homeowner protection and contractor trust features.

If you upload photos, proof of work, inspection reports, warranty documents, insurance certificates, or other files, those files and their metadata are stored and linked to your account and the related record. You can request deletion of uploaded files at any time.

We store your selected role, contractor license details (if provided), insurance status, specialties, accountability scores, and verification status. This data is linked to your account and is used to support trust, verification, and matching features.

If you contact support or report a concern, we collect the information you provide, including your name, contact details, and the content of your request. This information is linked to your account and is used to respond to and resolve your request.

VillexBuild may record payment protection status, escrow status, payout status, and related transaction metadata for urgent work tasks. VillexBuild does not process real payments unless a payment provider is configured. When a payment provider is configured, payment processing is handled by the provider under its own privacy policy.

We may collect anonymous usage analytics and crash logs to improve app stability and performance. Where analytics are tied to your account, they are linked to your identity. Crash logs may include device, OS, and app version information.

Account information, contact information, property and project information, uploaded files, role data, support requests, and payment-related status are linked to your account identity. Anonymous analytics, where used, are not linked to your identity.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app (such as hosting, authentication, and analytics providers), with payment providers when payment features are enabled, and when required by law or to protect safety, rights, or property. Contractors and homeowners may see limited information about each other as needed to coordinate work.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the features you use. Some records, such as audit logs and verification records, may be retained for longer to support trust, safety, and legal obligations.

You can request review, correction, or deletion of your personal information. To delete your account and associated data, visit Delete My Data or contact support. Certain records, such as audit logs and records required for legal or safety obligations, may be retained after deletion.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

VillexBuild is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the applicable jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes will be communicated through the app or other reasonable channels.
